She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the practice and will be
happy to deal with any problems or queries concerning the practice.
Practice Secretary
Jan Childs - Jan is responsible for all medical referrals, letters
and all correspondence.
Receptionists/Administration Staff
The reception staff are here to assist in the efficient day-to-day running of
the practice and are your link to the rest of the practice team. The receptionists
have a difficult job to carry out so please be patient if you are kept waiting
or asked apparently irritating questions. The doctors require a certain amount
of information in order to ascertain the urgency of particular requests and treatment.
Please be assured that any information you give will always be treated in confidence
as all staff are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and
nurses. There are many jobs carried out behind the scenes by the reception/administrative
team including the processing of all forms, registration documents, hospital
referrals and repeat prescriptions and maintaining accurate patient medical records
and computer records. The practice medical secretary is responsible for all hospital
referral letters, the administration of insurance and company medical reports
and all non-NHS correspondence. Although all reception staff are trained in the
practice computer system, the links administrator is responsible for the majority
of computer work and patient registration. Should you have any queries regarding
these matters please ask to speak with the appropriate person.

Midwives run one booking clinic and one antenatal clinic per week at the surgery
- by appointment only.
At other times please contact the antenatal clinic at the hospital on (01438)

ZERO TOLERANCE
We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Anyone attending the surgery who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever, will risk removal from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises. |
